Take 5

Located in Indiranagar 100ft road, Take 5 meets with tough competition as the locality is home to some of the city's most interesting pubs and lounges. We embarked on this journey to find out about what makes it a weekend choice to most who go there religiously.

First and foremost, the service matters a lot to the majority of us and at Take 5 this seems to be the warmest attribute. Meet Sunny Sodha, the manager himself. He is the smiling face behind each meal delivered to perfection and an epitome of hospitality.

The entrance doesn't give away on what lies inside but it is an interesting concept on it's own.
The bar counter is lit beautifully and looks like a modern pixie's den. Menfolk will be relieved to know that Disney is not the source of my design reference. While the ambience is mild enough to accommodate family dinners, it also sports a music savy inn sort of aura.

The place is divided into two sections; The area in front of the bar counter is dedicated to people who enjoy some live performance with their drinks.

As for the milder crowd who wish to revel in the company of each other there is a well decorated and convenient spot too!

When it comes to music, there is not much I can say. Take 5 attracts a mature crowd, not implying old, while even the elderly who do come there, I assure you are young at heart and have more zest for life than most of us youngsters these days do. As for my personal experience, they had "White Mug" performing that day and if you go by my word, I was blown away into believing that the manager of the pub does have a keen ear for good music.

And I am sure this bunch of beautiful strangers completely agree. :)

I wish I could tell you more about the food, unfortunately the only information I can give you is that the place is reasonably priced as per Bangalore pub standards and the only dish I have tried and can vouch for is the Mixed Grill. It is the perfect dish for a hard core non-vegetarian and also for the indecisive one.

Cheers and a happy trip to everyone headed there!
